SmartFrost

SmartFrost technology from LIEBHERR combines easy maintenance and low power consumption in top-of-the-line cabinet and drawer freezers. The walls of the freezer compartment are smooth, so it is very difficult for frost to stick to them, and defrosting itself is easy and takes a few minutes. The evaporator itself is wound directly on a plastic box and embedded in insulating foam in order to achieve the greatest efficiency of heat removal and thus reduce the consumption of electricity. By not needing a drying and defrosting cycle as with NoFrost technology, this system is a bit more economical and takes up less space.

Child safety lock

The child lock is activated on the control electronics, which prevents the appliance from being switched off unintentionally. Activation of the child lock is indicated by a symbol in MagicEye.

Automatic SuperFrost

The automatic SuperFrost function effectively freezes your food down to a temperature of -32° C. Thanks to the high temperature difference during quick freezing, the crystallization of water inside the stored food is significantly reduced. The SuperFrost function switches off automatically when the freezing process is finished or after a maximum of 65 hours of operation. The SuperFrost function preserves the nutritional value of stored food and is also energy-saving.

FrostProtect

The new FrostProtect technology is installed in selected LIEBHERR freezers. Thanks to the application of this innovative technology, freezers can also be installed in unheated spaces, for example in a garage. The lower limit of the temperature of the surrounding space is now already from -15 °C, and the upper limit of the temperature is defined by the level of the climate class for which the appliance is certified.

FrostSafe

FrostSafe technology guarantees mutual compactness and perfect closure for removable and tall storage boxes. You can easily keep an overview of the frozen food thanks to the transparent fronts of the boxes.

The possibility of changing the door opening direction

Devices are manufactured from the factory with the door opening to the right as standard. The possibility of changing the door opening direction will help you to perfectly integrate the space and match it with the interior of the kitchen. Be careful, there are exceptions. For example, in ECBN models, where the hinge location is only permanent left or permanent right.
