Lignum NG 20 wood gasification boiler

Description

Boiler LIGNUM NG is a gasification boiler with a return draft that works on the principle of burning gas generated by firewood.
For this purpose, the boiler is equipped with two chambers divided by a piece of filament wall

of arable material that serves as a nozzle.

In the upper part, there is a loading or gasification chamber, where drying and subsequent release of gases from the wood takes place.
Under certain conditions of temperature and air flow, wood decomposes into gaseous and solid components.
These conditions occur in the loading or gasification chamber, where the temperature increases due to the partial combustion of the wood.

Minimum air flow (primary air) is caused by fan suction.

The gas produced in this way is mixed with preheated secondary air in a piece of refractory material called a nozzle and is directed into the combustion chamber by means of a fan.
Combustion is carried out on a piece of refractory material that reaches temperatures above 1000 ºC, reducing emissions and increasing efficiency.

The advantage of this combustion process is mainly the reduction of polluting emissions and the increase in efficiency.

Gases are created in the combustion chamber at a temperature of 1000ºC and circulate through a retarder system that can reduce their temperature below 160ºC, thereby reducing consumption and increasing the autonomy of boiler loading.
The efficiency obtained is 92 %, which is higher than the 80 % required in the installation regulations.
