This electric water softener is filled with synthetic resin balls. These convert limescale into sodium, which is not harmful to your health or your machines. After a certain period of use of the water softener, the resin balls become saturated. Fortunately, this device is self-cleaning. The salt ensures that the resin balls release the deposited limescale and are flushed out using salt water. This process is called "regeneration". Regeneration takes place automatically. Simply enter the tested water hardness on the device's display and the system will calculate the most effective regeneration plan. The display also shows the number of litres available before a new regeneration cycle is required.
