Hořovice albums

You don't have to be an eyewitness or have worked in gastronomy for several years to know the Hořovick ALBA.
This purely Czech manufacturer with more than 120 years of production tradition has had a great name throughout its existence. The famous kitchen equipment has found hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers in many countries, specifically in restaurants and canteens, large-capacity kitchen operations such as hospitals, schools and the military.

The first ones remember the winged "A" from 1946, but the foundation stone of the factory was already laid on November 23, 1883. At that time, the production machines were powered by a steam ENGINE. Today it is electricity and modern technology.

But let's start from the beginning.
They started with boilers, fireplaces and stoves more than 100 years ago. Furthermore, they expanded the production program to include the production of tableware, bathtubs, and before the First World War, war production. After its completion, they devoted themselves mainly to large kitchen equipment, with which they equipped all the barracks in Czechoslovakia.

In 1925, the gas version of the thermal device also rolls off the production lines, and three years later, it is one of the first to introduce a system for searching for orders by business travelers.

World War 2 changes the production program back to wartime production, until its end. The first quarter of 1946 is marked by nationalization, which we did not avoid either, at the same time the current ALBA appears in the name of the company. However, during the period of state ownership, the name changed seven more times.

50 years ago, they started the production of the now legendary whisking machines, the so-called "Eréček", and washing machines. The awards came soon. In Brussels, Montreal, but also in Japan, namely in the form of prestigious medals from fairs.

The 1980s were years of cooperation with German and Swiss manufacturers and massive exports to countries within the RVHP, but also to the so-called Western countries. The highlight of this era was the Grand Prix gold medal at the INTECO World Exhibition and satisfied customers in forty-four countries. And that ended the monopoly…

THE TURN OF THE MILLENNIUM…
Democracy breathed hope and strength into the Hořovice ALBA. They were privatized in 1995. The new owner, an experienced dealer in gastro equipment, started urgent changes in the outdated factory with his associates. The management focused on the competitiveness of products from Alba. And it soon became clear that he had bet on a good card.

The result was the Classico modular kitchen system, which was subsequently awarded the Grand Prix Inteco, Grand Prix Gastra and Silver Siesta. At the same time, the innovative Standard, convection ovens and washing machines remained in the production program. However, the fact remains that the development department is not sleeping and is preparing a number of new products.
